Some of my more recent landscapes captured within the Lake District National Park.

The first image was taken at Cathedral Quarry near Coniston using my Canon 5D. I still find myself returning to my older camera when creating black-and-white work. It slows me down and encourages me to think more carefully about the image and atmosphere I want to capture.

The second and third images were taken during a walk from Skelwith Bridge through to the Langdale Valley, a beautiful cold yet sunny day in the Lakes.

The final image was captured in Borrowdale Vale. The sunlight breaking through after the rain created a beautiful contrast against the wet rocks and pebbles alongside the river.

It was a blustery weekend in The Lake Distinct National Park where I took these first three images. The Herdwick sheep are so resilient and such a big part of the Lakes fells no matter what the weather is like. The lamp post is from Windermere taken through the car window as the rain poured down. It’s good to try something a bit different.

Lastly are photos from a couple of travel trips this summer. One gave me an opportunity to do some drone photography over a World War II bunker in Menorca. The other was a trip to Dumfries and Galloway sea side on a camper van trip
